Brass console table in the style of Guy Lefevre 1980`s ca, France.
This console table has been thoroughly cleaned respecting the original antique patina and is ready to use.
The Minimalist design has a Neoclassical geometric form like the designs of Guy Lefevre.
This console is very unique because it has been constructed in a Brutalist manner: the joints are visible and the frame has been left unlacquered to allow the brass to age. The result is an interesting contrast between the elegant Neoclassical form with a Brutalist textured finish. This console is ideal for a Classical or Industrial decor.
With a height of 91 cm, this console would stand tall in a large living room or dining room.
The square tubular box frame is made of solid brass. The frame bends continuously into slender legs. At the bottom the brass frame turns inwards to create a decorative 90 degree angle. These shaped legs make the table very stable. The frame then travels up again to create a decorative geometric form inside which also holds the glass top.
The glass top is new and has a thickness of 10 mm, in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The removable glass top sits on the frame and is held in place by clear rubber stoppers.
The frame is sound and in very good condition. The original patina has been left as the rich warm brass tone compliments the minimal design.
