1950`s Saporiti armchairs (attributed) a matching pair of
sculptural armchairs in the original brown vinyl, 1950`s ca, Italy.
This pair of 1950`s armchairs have an organic curve to the frame which creates the `lounge` feeling made famous by Saporiti Furniture. In the original vintage brown vinyl upholstery with a `grain` print, this pair have buttons on the upper part for a decorative quilted diamond pattern. The original vintage `Atomic period` spindle legs of tapered black iron capped with a brass point & brass pod further enhances the light feeling of each armchair. On the back there are decorative metal studs finishing the upholstery. Both armchairs are in very good original condition. Solid frames with delicate proportions and very comfortable.The upholstery has minor signs of wear in line with age, with a gentle
patina on the legs that adds character. These armchairs are
ready to use as is, but equally good for re-upholstering in the future. The two armchairs sell together and the price quoted here is for the pair. Also in stock for sale is the matching sofa (
