1960`s floor lamp by Massive Lighting (`Lustrerie Massive`) of Belgium. This 1960`s lamp has a black iron frame with six arms and a tripod base finished with brass details. Each arm is topped with six original opaline glass shades;  white with  hand painted yellow and black linear pattern, all of which are in excellent condition. Each glass shade is held securely in place with a metal spring action ring inside the brass lamp holder. There is a decorative textured rope cord with brass baubles around the neck of the iron frame. This floor lamp comes with the original paper maker`s label which is dated 1966. There is a pedal switch on the cable. Carries 6 standard small screw light bulbs up to 40 Watts each. At present fitted with pigmy clear 15 Watts. This lamp is rewired and in full working order. Original antique patina in line with age adds to the character, greatly sought after in vintage floor lamps.

Each glass shade has a height of 15 cm and a diameter of 10 cm.

Massive Lighting or ` Lustrerie Massive ` was founded  in 1926 in  Belgium. For much of it`s history the company was family run and in 2000 was honoured as `the best lamp producer of the year`. Massive Lighting was known for high quality and original design which vary between classic and modernist styles. In 2008 the company became part of Phillips Corporation making this vintage lamp by Massive Lighting highly sought after.
