This magazine rack has been lightly cleaned respecting the vintage
patina.
By the famous brass makers, Lombard C & A Ltd of Birmingham, this
magazine rack is unique with its playful mix of styles.
Silver & rose tinted mirror in an alternating pattern decorates the traditional brass rack.
Looking in detail the mirror bands are secured in place with decorative bolts in a diagonal pattern, playfully adding to the design.
The brass work is finished in the traditional hand hammered technique and trimmed with decorative bolts to complete the Artisan affect.
At the top there is a quality cast brass handle with a decorative
frieze
of flowers.
There are 2 internal compartments for magazines, each with a
width of 5.5 cm. The front portion is 25 cm deep and the back portion is slightly deeper at 29 cm. The internal compartments are lined with original felt which is in good condition.
This piece is in very good original vintage condition.
Packing is offered free of charge. It would be wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. This piece could easily fit in a box and posted.
