Brendan Neiland prints `Cityscape`, screenprint, 1981, framed, England. Framed and number 78/125. In the lower right corner, notice the bottle of Gordon`s gin incorporated in the reflection of the building.
Brendan Neiland artist was born in Lichfield, England in 1941. He is one of Britains foremost and contemporary painters
and printmakers represented in major museums such as The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Tate Gallery
London, The Collections of the British Council and the Arts Council of
Great Britain. Influenced by photography, lighting and the pictorial structure of great artists sch as Braque, Corot or Vermeer executed by using a spray-gun technique. The end result is work which is relevant and contemporary. For example his artwork often features the soaring glass and steel structures of today`s architecture while at the same time embracing something very meaningful as in this print.
