Coro Duette pin, consisting of 2 fur pins, 1940`s ca, USA.
These item have been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina and are ready to wear. New black leatherette gift box included.
This vintage duette pin is made up of two separate fur clips.
At the focal point of each is a sapphire blue glass cabouchon flower with green enameled leaves and decorated with three blue rhinestones on a gold plated gilt frame.
The frame is stamped on the back `Coro Duette` along with Pat. No. 1798867. This patent number dates to 1931.
New quality black leatherette gift box included.
This duette pin is in very good vintage condition with all original rhinestones present, and a warm patina in line with age & use, with minor rubbing to the gilt & tiny marks as expected.
This piece was featured in the book `Fun Jewelry`, as photographed, and a similar model was featured in expert Judith Miller`s book on Costume Jewelry.
