Vintage extending coffee table/bar designed by Eric Maville, 1970`s ca, France. Top and pedestal base veneered with Bird`s Eye Maple wood stained in an elegant shade of green/grey. High gloss lacquered finish. Brass inlaid details create a geometric pattern around the edge and at the centre opening of the bar. The top slides open to reveal a sunken compartment for drinks, fully lined with original copper mirror. All in very good condition and some nice age patina. Original brass label.
Since the 1970`s, Eric Maville has been designing glamorous pieces for French furniture makers such as Roche Bobois. He reinvents French Art Deco using precious materials and high lacquer finishes but with a more glamorous Hollywood Regency touch.
