Vintage rectangular coffee table attributed to George Mathias, 1970`s ca, France. Top and base in ivory colour lacquered wood. Attractive double brass volumetric trim around the edges and bottom of the square strong legs, typical of Mathias`s style. Lacquer in very good condition. Original age patina on the brass giving character.

George Mathias designs were produced in limited quantities in the mid 70`s to the early 80`s. He is mostly famous for his etched brass artwork often applied to furniture (such as coffee table tops) in collaboration with artist Roger Vanhebel.
