This sculptural Modernist valet would make any man a gentleman. This piece by the famous Italian Post War designer Ico Parisi would be a smart & practical addition to a private bedroom, shop or private club. Parisi`s designs are characterised by curvaceous wooden & metal frames, as well as modernist forms of the 50`s Atomic Age. His designs reflected the pared-down modernism of the time but with a uniquely Italian taste. This piece has be
autifully carved flowing organic lines in rosewood-coloured beech. There are quality details in brass such as a shoe rack, trouser rack, 2 retracting brass slides and coat hook.
From a rectangular base rises a triangular frame to a central column where there is is a shelf for change & cuff links, the trouser rack and 2 retracting brass slides. The central column rises to a polished brass coat hook. At the top there is a coat hanger topped with a solid brass finial.
At the bottom the valet stands on the original rubber castors with gold toned covers.
Designed also for luxury travelling, this piece easily disassembles into 2 parts. When attached, the top interlocks with the bottom, together these are held in place with a gold toned metal clasp.
On the reverse the central column is stamped in gold letters with the manufacturer`s label: `Internat Patent FR Made in Italy`.
This vintage piece is in very good condition. The wood polish is the original and in excellent condition with a rich colour. The metal pieces are in very good condition with only minor rubbing on the foot rest & metal clasp in line with age.

The height of the shelf from the floor is 77.5 cm.
When separated the top portion has a length of 70 cm, and the bottom portion has a length of 83 cm.
Packing is offered free of charge. This item would be wrapped in bubble wrap with an outer layer of stretch wrap. If necessary an outer layer of cardboard or box could be added for shipping.
