Italian tole floor lamp, gilt metal glass flowers with 3 lights by `LS Italy`, 1970`s ca, Italian.
This vintage floor lamp has been thoroughly cleaned, newly rewired including new brass lamp holders. It is ready to use. Light bulbs included.
This Italian tole floor lamp is unique with its range of glass flowers and metal finishes. The quality metal work of daffodils, tulips, wheat stems, poppies and leaves also makes this lamp a sculpture. It would suit a vast range of design schemes including Traditional, Country, Industrial and Contemporary.
Structurally this lamp consists of 3 metal rods or stems of dark olive green/brown in a satin finish with a golden tone. These rise to 3 illuminated flower lights.
At the round metal base emerging from a group of decorative leaves are 3 stems decorated by a cluster of leaves. These stems continue up and are decorated with 3 small gilt daffodils, leaves, 3 gilt wheat stems and 3 large gilt poppies. These stems span out with more wheat stems & daffodils. Each stem finishes with a gilt sepal leading to the lamp & shade. The flowers & leaves are quality castings with gilt metal.
The 3 removable frosted glass shades have a design pattern on them of 5 petals each. They secure to the brass lamp holders by a metal ring.
To support the structure, the group of stems are strengthened by 2 hidden rings internally holding the 3 stems together.
This vintage floor lamp takes 3 standard small screw (E14) light bulbs up to 40 Watts each. At present fitted and photographed with clear Pygmy 15 Watts light bulbs easily available at any lighting shop. Alternative this lamp could take any other shapes of E14 light bulbs. There is the original dimmer switch on the cable.
On the underside of the base there is the original maker`s label `LS Italy`.
This lamp is in excellent condition and the vintage lamp shades are original to the piece and in very good condition.
Packing is offered free of charge. The glass shades would be removed and wrapped separately and placed in a box. The frame would be bubble wrapped. If necessary this frame could be placed inside a box.
The diameter of the base is 30 cm.
Each glass shade has a height of 9 cm and a diameter of 11 cm.
