Kienzle clock Zodiac images, 1950`s ca, German.
This clock has been gently cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. The clock mechanism is original and working.
One D sized battery is
included.
Henry Johannes Möller 1950`s design is a Modernist update of the design he launched in the 1930`s. In this case it is fitted with Junghans Quartz movement battery operated.
The Zodiac icons, characteristic of the period, take the place of the hours on the clock face. These are raised molded acryic on a metal & acrylic frame. Separating the hours are brass rods radiating from the centre. A glass domed shape glass cover trimmed with brass closes with a brass hinge and brass locking mechanism. The frame is trimmed with gold paint detailing and a rope running upwards to the original stylized brass hanging bracket. There are solid decorative brass tacks holding the rope in place.
The circular portion with the clock face has a diameter of 27.5 cm.
This clock is in excellent condition. There are a couple of tiny grazes to the beige enamel at the sides and some discolouration to the rope. The clock keeps very good time.
Packing is offered free of charge. This clock would be wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed ideal for posting.
