Lucite valet stand with brass & leather details along with the matching coat hanger both attributed to Charles Hollis Jones, 1970`s ca, American.

This item has been thoroughly cleaned while respecting the vintage patina; it is ready to use.

The simplicity in design is enhanced with the Lucite & cream lacquer finish while the details in brass & leather offer contrast. This elegant piece is kept playful with the matching Lucite coat hanger.

Sculptural & practical this piece would compliment a range of decors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Post-Modern, Industrial or Contemporary.

At the focal point there is the Lucite arching coat rack almost invisible yet highlighted by the brass attachment to the central column. The column rises & tapers leading to the solid brass change dish. This screws to the top of the column.

Lower down the central column has a brass trouser rack lined with leather. This rack attaches to the central column with brass detailing; it almost underlines the Lucite hanger above.

The central column terminates below to a circular base detailed at the centre with a brass disc. The base is weighted keeping this piece sturdy and a sign of qualilty.

The original matching coat hanger is still together with the set. The hook portion of this rotates so this hanger can be placed in many postions.

Both the valet & coat hanger are in very good condition. The solid brass surfaces have the original lacquer present with an attractive antique patina adding character. The enamel surfaces are in very good condition with only minor marks in line with age & use, as shown in the photographs. The Lucite parts are in very good condition.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. Both the stand & coat hanger would be wrapped separately in bubble wrap & covered in card. These items would easily fit in a box, ideal for posting or sending with a courier.

Additional dimentions:

The Lucite coat hanger has the following dimensions - Heigh: 29 cm, Width: 45.5 cm, Depth: 1 cm.

The base has a diameter of 26.5 cm.
