Maison Bagues (attributed) coffee table, brass and beige lacquer coffee table, 1970`s ca France.

This brass & lacquer coffee table has a Neoclassical inspired frame. The large size is balanced by the delicate proportions, form & materials. The central stretcher, in brass and decorated with brass balls, adds strength and glamour to the design. The frame is metal lacquered in beige gloss and finished with brass detail. The column legs are decorated with brass rings which are an extension of the central stretcher. At the end the legs delicately curve outwards to the floor. The original vintage gold tone reflective glass is rare; in a elegant tone which further `lightens` the form. This glass top inserts flush with the brass frame. This Maison Bagues table is in very good condition with attractive patina consistent with age which adds character. The removable glass is in very good condition, with minor wear in line with age but no chips or cracks.
