Maison Bagues nesting tables (in the style of), brass & mirror, 1969, French
This set of tables have been gently cleaned respecting the vintage patina; they are ready to use.
The Neoclassical & Modernist features executed in solid polished brass suggest these tables could be from the French design company Maison Bagues. The proportions & detailed legs create a pared-down Neoclassical look. When stacked together they make an interesting geometric pattern.
Elegant in design & materials these tables are also very practical. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Modernist, Minimalist, Industrial, Traditional or Contemporary.
Structurally each table has a solid brass rectangular frame top with grooved banding. Within this sits the original mirrored top.
From the top run four distinctive column legs with decorative fluting, the top of which is hexagonal. Each leg is finished to a point & pod.
All 3 mirror tops are the original vintage ones to the set, stamped underneath `6 Mar 1969`. The mirror is great quality and 6 mm thick. Each top sits protected inside the frame and on a brass horizontal ledge. The mirror surfaces are removable for cleaning & transport.
This set of tables are all in very good condition. The mirror tops are original & in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. There is minor superficial rubbing to the underneath in a couple of places in line with age. The original clear lacquer is present on the brass frames. There is some attractive antique patina on the brass in line with age that adds character.
Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The mirror tops would be removed and wrapped separately in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frames would have bubble wrap and an outer layer of card if necessary. These tables could fit easily and safely in boxes for shipping & export.
