Maison Jansen brass floor/table lamp of sunflowers & leaves, 1970`s ca, France.

Thoroughly cleaned, newly rewired and fully working with a new cable switch & new plug. Light bulbs included.

This vintage lamp is large enough in size for the floor, but can also sit very well as a table lamp.

This decorative & sculptural lamp is a playful 70`s take on the Japanese Ikebana. The stems & leaves are as important as the flowers arranged in an ornamental peaceful composition with graceful lines. Well suited for this minimal form, the heat treated brass patina has been worked to a high quality by a skilled craftsman.

The attention grabbing 3 brass flowers are made up of 2 layers of petals, some of which are raised to add depth. Each sunflower is on its own gold lacquered stem, each thoughtfully positioned. These pedals can be removed for transport. In the background there are 4 brass leaves with the same brass patina as the flowers. Each leaf is on its own natural coloured stem which has a fabric texture.

The entire piece sits in a black lacquered ceramic pot; weighted for stablity. In the pot there is a decorative round brass cap covering the electrical components. At the back of the pot there is the wiring; a black cable fitted with a new cable switch and new plug.

Takes 3 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts each. Presently fitted and photographed with Crown Gold golf shaped light bulbs, which are easily available in most electrical shops & over the internet. These light bulbs are included in this price. Alternatively it is possible to use other light bulb shapes as Pygmy shape ones (as in a secondary photo).

The brass, metal stems and ceramic pot are all in excellent condition.

For safe transport the metal pedals can be removed and wrapped separately. The entire piece can be packed with bubble wrap and boxed free of charge.
