Maison Jansen large nesting tables, a trio with brass frames & olive glass tops, 1950`s ca, French.
These tables have been thoroughly cleaned while respecting the vintage patina. They are ready to use.
The Neoclassical & Modernist features executed in solid polished brass suggest these tables could be from Maison Jansen. The proportions and detailed legs create a pared-down Neoclassical look. This is an attractive set and relatively large.
Elegant in design & materials these tables are also very practical. They would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Glamour, Industrial, Traditional or Contemporary.
Structurally each table has the original olive green glass top sitting inside the brass rectangular frame. The trim around the frames is of exceptional quality, being of square section with polished corners.
The contrast between the olive green toned glass and the golden brass make these tables very chic.
The column legs are slender & simple finishing at the bottom in a baluster form with detailed brass nodules. When stacked together these nodules keep the set in a stepped form. Towards the bottom the legs are joined together with a brass stretcher which adds to the design & stability.
The 3 original vintage glass tops are removable. They sit inside the frames, on a continuous brass plate surrounded by a the square section decorative trim. This make this tables very stable.
These tables are in very good condition and the frames are sound. The brass retains the original lacquered finish with antique patina in areas adding character as photographed. The 3 glass tops are in excellent condition with no chips or damages.
Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing to protect items. These tables are well suited for export. The glass tops would be wrapped individually in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frames would be bubble wrapped and if necessary an outer layer of card. These tables could fit safely in a box for easy posting
