This Marvella pin is of coral in gold-tone accented with pink enamelling. At the focal point there is a star fish made up of 16 faux turquoise cabochons. The top of the pin is finished with a prong set round diamond cut violet rhinestone. This piece was featured in the photographed advertisement for "Coral Fantasie by Marvella" which appeared in Harper`s Bazaar, March, 1951. Stamped on the back ‘Marvella ‘, the mark consistent with 1951. The glass stones are original and in good condition. There is some rubbing to the gold gilt & enamel in line with this age.
