Milo Ray Baughman was one of the leading modern furniture designers of the late 20th century. His uniquely American designs were modern & `light` in design while still being affordable. Baughman began as an architect helping to design officers` clubs during his service in the Air Forces during World War II. In the mid 1940`s he worked for a number of furniture companies and set up business with his first wife Olga Lee who was a print designer. In 1953 Baughman began with Thayer Coggin Inc of High Point North Carolina until his death in 2003. He also lectured on modern design and it`s social benefits.
