Orsenigo drinks trolley, gold plated gilt with glass tops, 1980`s ca, Italian.
This drinks trolley has been thoroughly cleaned respecting the vintage patina and it is ready to use.
This vintage drinks bar by Italian designer & manufacturer Orsenigo, has a pared down Neoclassical design. The Lucite columns are reminiscent of the earlier Art Deco period.
Practical & elegant this trolley would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Traditional, Industrial or Contemporary.
Structurally there are two levels, a top and lower shelf, both of circular shape. The clear glass surfaces fit into a gold plated circular frame. The glass appears to be suspended when in fact it rests on four discreet gilt plates, each with a clear rubber stopper. The two original vintage glass tops have a thickness of 6 mm, each can be removed for cleaning & transport.
The top frame also has a galleried top. This is made up of two golden tubular bands joined together with decorative golden spheres in 3 locations.
There is a curved handle also in gilt finished at each end with a golden sphere.
The top & lower shelf are connected by 6 clear Lucite column legs. These are grouped in pairs for an architectural design. Each column has a gilt band at the top & bottom like a Neoclassical column.
On the lower shelf there is a gilt frame to hold bottles.
Underneath there are 3 castor wheels
fitted on the frame. Each of these has a gold toned cover.
This vintage drinks trolley is in very good condition, sound & strong. The original gilt finish is present on the surface and in very good condition, with minor rubbing in line with age. The two original vintage glass surfaces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. All the original clear rubber stoppers are present supporting the glass surfaces. The 3 wheels are original and in very good condition.
Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. For safe transport the glass surfaces would be wrapped individually in bubble wrap and an outer layer of card. The frame would be bubble wrapped and if necessary in an out of layer of card. This trolley would fit safely in a box for shipping, easily posted & exported.
