Danish architect Poul Cadovius (1911-2011), founded the Cado Company in the late 1950`s.
In 1964, Cado took over France & Son Manufacture which was one of Denmark´s greatest makers of furniture.
Poul Cadovius created the Cado modular shelving system, called The Royal System.
Cado manufactured a series of original plastic/polyamide chairs in white and black dated 1970. These have become the collections series. Poul Cadovius collaborated with a number of acclaimed designers, such as Finn Juhl, one of the grandfathers of Danish design.
Cado furniture is marked with the stamp as photographed and an issue number.
This table is a collaboration between Poul Cadovius & Bjorn Wiinblad.
But it is the brillant bronze & gold hand-painted top by `Mygge`
which really sets this table above others.
Susanne Fjeldsoe Mygge was
a student of Wiinblad and the swirling calligraphic style brush work, is typical of Wiinblad`s style.
