Roger Vanhevel vintage mirrored coffee table 1970`s ca, Belgium. Octagonal table with blue/grey mirror top on a pedestal base. The centered pedestal base is mirrored which along with the mirrored top create the illusion of floating in space. The mirror is finished with a quality beveled edge detail. All the mirrored surfaces are the original vintage ones. The table top metallic frame has two sections, the external square section is in patinated chrome and has a 23 Karat gold plated trim. The pedestal base is elegantly finished in each corner with a patinated chrome vertical frame and finishes at the bottom horizontally with a gold plated trim. This coffee table is a strong and very solid Modernist piece. The top comes unscrew from the base for easy transport. Very good condition all around. The frame has a nice patina giving character where the gold trim has gently faded in line with age. All of the mirror surfaces are in very good condition with no chips or bad scratches, only very minor wear at the top one, consistent with age & use.
