Romeo Rega coffee table bar etched Class Mark, a division of Nazaret Italy, brass & bronze mirror, 1970`s ca, Italian.
This vintage table has been gently cleaned while respecting the aged patina. It is ready to use.
This coffee table with dry bar is attributed to Italian designer Romeo Rega. On the side it is etched `Class Mark`, a division of Nazaret Italy. The design, a pedestal `floating` table, is iconic of the 1970`s and often the work of Italian designers such as Romeo Rega, Willy Rizzo or Cidue.
The minimalist form in luxury materials along with the bar central to the design makes this table a good complement to a range of Interiors such as Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Post Modern, Industrial or Contemporary. It could be used as a center or side table.
This table has typical material of the 70`s: polished brass, bronze mirror & brown acrylic. The `floating` effect is created by the low mirrored top on a mirrored pedestal base.
The top has bronze mirror. It is geometrically divided in the middle into two triangular sections separated with polished brass trim. The brass trim is only along the top horizontal angles, leaving the other corners `mirror to mirror` to create an illusion of lightness & reflections.
One half of the top is mirrored and the other is a recessed dry bar. The three vertical sides of this compartment are also in bronze mirror, the bottom is in dark brown acrylic with a gloss finish.
The square pedestal base is mirrored on all four sides. This creates a light floating effect.
The underneath sides of the top is black satin. There are four stoppers at the bottom with new black felt to protect the floor underneath.
This coffee table is in good vintage condition. All the mirrored surfaces are the original vintage to the table and in good condition. There are 3 minor cracks to the mirror around the top flat narrow portion of the compartment as photographed. The brass surfaces are in very good condition with no dents and a warm age patina. The acrylic is in good condition with minor superficial marks in the corners as expected for the age.
Additional dimensions:
The triangular drinks compartment is: Height: 23.5, Long Width: 107 cm, each Short Width: 74.5 cm, Height horizontal of the full triangle: 52.5 cm.
