Josef Simon & Joseph Schelle founded the German company Sische Leuchte in 1946. Initially producing lampshades they soon extended into lamps for their first public exhibition in 1949.
The 1970’s designs saw reduced forms, new colours and the introduction of track lighting.
During the 1980`s the company worked in collaboration with German designer Luigi Colani to produced beautifully balanced extravagant yet functional lights. Until 1989 the original founders, Josef & Joseph led the company after which the second generation stepped up and presently manage the company.
