Tri fold mirror for wall/dressing in bronze with Neoclassical details, 1950`s ca, French.
This vintage mirror has been thoroughly cleaned respecting the original aged patina and is ready to use.
This versatile tri folding domed mirror with its Neoclassical detailing offers an elegant serenity. Because it is triptych, it adds another dimension, opening up to a large 3 panel mirror. This is very practical as it can be adjusted to see your profile and the back of your head. It can work as a freestanding mirror on furniture or also as a wall mirror such as above a console, sideboard, bathroom & mantelpiece.
The quality dome frame is composed of a central portion and two side panels in solid bronze. There are 5 mirror surfaces as the side panels are mirrored on both sides. When closed the Neoclassical detailing around the frame can be seen on the outside, while the inside frame is in plain polished bronze.
This mirror can stand on furniture or be hung. There are 3
exposed strong decorative mounting brackets as part of the bronze frame. These make for easy installation to
hang this mirror to the wall. The quality
`lift-off` hinges allow this frame to be disassembled for transportation or when installing as the two sides come off the main central portion of the frame.
The
bronze
frame is in very good condition with the original antique patina adding character to the piece. The 5 vintage mirror surfaces are all original and are in perfect condition with no chips or damages.
Structurally the frame is very strong as it has an extra vertical & horizontal support bar on the reverse side; all intact & original.
Packing is offered free of charge. The mirror would be separated into 3 sections, each bubble wrapped and surrounded in card.
The width when the mirror is fully closed is: 70.5 cm.
The total width while fully extended horizontally is: 140.5 cm.
Each wing has a width of: 35 cm.
