Trifari Lucite Jelly Belly vintage frog gold gilt by Alfred Philippe, 1960`s ca, USA. This frog has a clear Lucite belly and green glass eyes. His arms, legs and head are set with sparkling white rhinestones. Stamped underneath on the belly Trifari with the crown over the `T` & copyright logo suggesting post 1955. The design is from 1943. This brooch is in Brunialti`s "American Costume Jewelry" on page 149, on page 115 `The Great Pretenders`, page 17 `Fun Jewelry` and page 216 `Judith Miller` (2010). Gift box included.

This pin is attributed to Alfred Philippe who initially designed for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. He designed jewelry for Trifari from 1930 to 1968.
