Trifari Jewels of India brooch, faux cabochon emerald pin, by Alfred Philippe, 1965 USA. A large green cabochon is at the focal point accompanied by bezel set & faceted pear shape faux sapphires finished with red cabochons. The entire pin is decorated with clear rhinestones, some set in silver tone metal to enhance their brilliance. The frame is lacy open-work best viewed from the back. Stamped Trifari ©. In good vintage condition with rubbing to the gilt in line with age and the clasp works well. Gift box included. The last photo is a copy of the original 1965 advertisement of the Jewels of India Collection that was featured in Town & Country and Harper`s Bazaar Magazines, although the pin was not photographed. This was Alfred Philppe`s last design before retiring.
