This Trifari orb brooch was part of the Trifari coronation jewels made in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Based on the royal orb which is part of the British Crown jewels, this pin is decorated with red, white, and blue glass stones mixed with imitation pearls on gilt metal. The cross has a center green glass square cut surrounded by pave set white rhinestones. The back of this item has a great pin and clasp that holds very well and the signature "Trifari" with a crown over the "T". condition. This piece is featured in the book `Fabulous Fakes` page 182.
