Victore Pasmore etching ` Metamorphosis No 2` with aquatint, No 49/55, 1976, England.
Framed & numbered 49/55. Signed `VP` and numbered in pencil by artist. Printed at White Ink Studio, London, bearing their blind stamp. One of eight etchings with aquatint from the set `Metamorphosis (Linear Motifs) - A Suite of Eight Images`, published by Marlborough Graphics in 1976. Sub-title: `The Gardens of Hammersmith No 3`.
Victor Pasmore (1908-1998) was perhaps the most influential abstract artist in Britain and became one of the leading abstract painters of the latter 20th century. His work can be found in many Public Collections around the world including: Tate Britain, Royal Academy of Arts - London, Museum of Modern Art - New York, The British Council, Yale Center for British Art and numerous regional British galleries.
