Lobmeyr chandelier, gold gilt metal & Swarovski crystals,1970`s Austria. This vintage light is a good example of Lobmeyr Lighting`s Modernist frame embellished with crystal and diamante decoration to great effect. This Swarovski chandelier consist of 112 crystals (96 icicles & 16 drops) on a gold gilt frame. The frame consists of a central column from which there are 24 arms. Each arm is finished with a set of four ellipses each containing a Swarovski icicle inside and a diamante attachment at the top. Also from the column are 8 light bulbs placed to pass light through the crystals which maximises light refraction and sparkle. A decorative brass ceiling cup finishes the chandelier at the top of the chain. Having a chain allows for this piece to be easily boxed and transported. Carries 8 standard small screw light bulbs up to 40 Watts each. The frame is in very good condition with an attractive antique patina in line with age. Newly rewired and in full working order.
